We finally had a beautiful weekend here in Ohio and my family and I wanted to take full advantage of it by spending the day outdoors. We began the day at our favorite hiking spot, Sears Woods.
This hike led to the inspiration for this blog post about art found in nature. It is amazing how Mother Nature continues to take my breath away with her beauty. For instance, look at this beautiful plant that we found on the path.
I just found it’s spots so interesting. If anyone knows what it is, I’d love to know 🙂
While hiking, we reached our favorite spot, the Sandusky River, where I spotted a whimsical piece of artwork by Mother Nature. Can you see it?
If you can’t see anything interesting, try this picture that zooms in a little bit.
Do you see the nose? The picture above it had two other rocks that would make perfect eyes if they were moved above each side of the nose. Or, you could call it a Picasso inspired piece of art 🙂
After our hike, we grabbed lunch and had a picnic in the park. While sitting on the blanket during our picnic, I spotted these beauties.
Of course I had to save them to use in future projects.
Thanks for taking a look into my day outdoors and stop by the blog in 2 weeks when I show all of the fun that my friend Tonya and I had at Artiscape this coming weekend! See you then 🙂
